Both resources are extremely rare and bad for the environment, especially Lithium, which is typically trashed after the battery degrades.	Convoy™ vehicles use mounted solar panels to charge as they drive, as well as the docking stations that also charge them. The docking stations are powered by solar and wind, that energy being funneled into station batteries to avoid wasting energy.
